Artist Statement
Hi, I'm Isaiah! As a student at the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts (c/o 2027), I am constantly surrounded by art of many media. But the one thing that every form of art holds constant is a story - be it a dance, a painting, a play, or a piece of music, each has a unique feeling or story to convey.With my chosen medium being the camera and lens, I think that holds even truer than ever. Video and photo have a unique ability to connect us, convey emotion, and tell stories. Whether I'm helping raise awareness for an issue or nonprofit, or just trying to bring happiness to people through silly videos, I believe that my work is just that - not how to use a camera, but the art of storytelling.
